Allen Fisher is a legend in the Sport of Arm Wrestling. His history spans over four decades; with hundreds of wins and 26 World Titles. To this day, he dominates the sport and is known as one of the most honorable, strongest, and intense opponents at the table. A natural from the beginning, Allen started arm wrestling in 1979, when he was just 24, winning his first World Championship in just over a year. He moved on quickly in his career achieving many world titles, traveling to several countries and eventually won first place in Sylvester Stallone's "Over the Top". “I remember the euphoria I felt when I beat Canada’s power house, Tony Golden, and won the competition. My energy level was so intense that I jumped up, landing on top of the table!”
Allen has been exposed to a plethora of media coverage: ABC’s Wide World of Sports, ESPN, CNN, and many talk shows. He single-handedly started the only arm wrestling training camp in the world and has trained many who have become well-known arm wrestlers, using Allen’s unique strategies and training principles. Because of his signature look, muscular arms. and shaved head, Allen has a popular nickname that caught on: “Popeye”. From the beginning, he is known as “Mr. Intensity”. In 2014, Allen had the honor of being the main character on AMC’s Game of Arms, a look inside the raw and highly competitive world of American arm wrestling. The series hails from the Emmy Award-winning producers of Deadliest Catch. The Game of Arms was the highest-rated unscripted reality show in its history. At the time, Allen, age 59, traveled around the country to compete in the World Arm Wrestling League Championships, going undefeated before taking second place in the final match, which aired on ESPN.
